Meet Evan

Evan has always had an eye for creating. He studied a multitude of media at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and specialized in fine art charcoal and oil painting. After he began studying cosmetology in 2007, Evan worked for a L’Oréal National Academy Salon where he was introduced to the world of balayage and quickly fell in love with the method of hand-painted highlighting.

After relocating to New York City in 2014, Evan discovered Whittemore House where he began his apprenticeship in their specialized technique of hair painting and attributes this training as his greatest aesthetic influence. Since then, Evan’s work has been featured in publications such as Elle, Allure, Vogue Brazil & Marie Claire.

A hair painting specialist for blondes, redheads, and low-maintenance hair, Evan enjoys creating both subtle, natural looks as well as full transformations. His signature hair, whether bold or understated, has smooth textures, soft gradated colors, and an unmistakable effortless quality that is both individualized and fundamentally beautiful.

Evan now lives in Chicago offering his services at appt-only salon.
